My doctor told me my son is the size he would be at 34 weeks I try to ask him questions and he doesn't really give me a straight answer and it's too late to switch my dr but has anybody else's dr said this to them what exactly does that mean??

yea my daughter was the size of 36 weeks when I was 39 she just came out small she was born 5 lbs 6 oz but perfectly healthy now she is still on the small side. she is 3 in 18 months clothes and wieghs 24lbs

it just means your son is measuring bigger. at least that what I've been told. my son is measuring a week bigger

my doctor kept telling me that my baby was going to be huge because I was measuring about 3 weeks bigger than I should have been. he kept getting me on my weight and the size of the baby. saying we don't want the baby who ate chicago. it was starting to get real depressing. when he did the sonogram he said my baby will be about 8.5 pounds at birth. which isn't huge. and the reason I measured so big is because I have extra fluid in my stomach... I'm switching doctors after birth because he made me feel terrible even though I have only 26 pounds my whole pregnancy. he kept reminding me that I had been overweight before pregnancy and to not gain so much.

@puffball, my doctor is doing the same thing he was initially telling me I was good with my weight then cause I gained 11 lbs in 3 1/2 weeks now he says I might catch diabetes and we don't want me to give birth to a 10 lb baby and some more bullshit I'm not feeling him at all wish I could switch...

@zaidensmommy, I know what you mean! at one appointment I gained 8 pounds in 2 weeks and he was all over me about that. and I was like how much have I gained my whole pregnancy and he was like 25 pounds. I was like seriously fuck off. I know girls who have gained 50-70 pounds. like stop talking about my baby. if my baby 9 pounds then oh well. he is a baby and if he is fat then who cares! I'm not going to be giving him sodas he will drink breast milk. you can weigh a lot and be healthy.

I know!! @zaidensmommy I used to be real careful about my weight that it was unhealthy. and luckily I got past that and gained weight. even tho it was probably too much. but they don't realize if they comment things like that to the wrong person it could be dangerous. if I got pregnant when I was skinny and my doctor was saying those things. I don't know how I would have took it. and that's scarry. they need to be careful
