anyone else's baby at 3 weeks old stay up for a long amount of time? my baby stays up for 3 plus hours at a time, but doesn't get fussy just stay up hanging out and super alert. should I take him out of the lit up living room and put him down at a certain time in the quiet dark room? or just let him fall asleep whenever?

I started off with a set schedule from the begining. At 10 all lights were of and a lamp covered with a sheet so i could wake up when baby did for feedings and didnt have to turn all the lights.

that's totally normal, whether or not you try to implement a nap schedule is up to you. personally I didn't only because they're growing and changing so much right now that whatever schedule you set now, may not work next week. the only routine I follow religiously is keeping her up for at least an hour each night before she goes to bed around 9/9:30. now that she's 9 weeks end spends more time awake we keep her awake for about 2 hours before bed if possible, unless she's not feeling good or having a growth spurt.

my baby is almost 2 weeks and he does the same. he stays up for 2-3 hours and crys sometimes cause he wants to be held. I just let him be up until he's tired or hungry
