Am I wrong for not wanting my newborn to sleep in the same room as me? I just don't want him to get use to me being right there when he wakes up n then having a hard time of breaking him of thag habit when I move him into his own room
Life. I used to think before that too much hand or picking up is not good for the baby because we think we "spoil" them but it's actually the opposite. Now when they get older in my opinion, once you're fed, cleaned and safe you can cry for a bit. But that's just me. @quansmom2016
I did child psychology and according to data you cannot spoil a newborn because they need to develop that trust mistrust and seeing that they've been in the womb for 9+ months they need that mothers warmth (in arms) at least for the first stage of l
its not gd to let a baby cry that young and thing can happen and ur the one that gone to get blame for it
if you will read the articles you would understand but i respect your opinion
i am pretty sure my momma let me cry it out and i turned out fine. Not sure how letting the baby cry after I made sure he is fine is hurting him. @yahuahsdaughter
crying it out hurts the child. theres nothing wrong with spoiling as long as you set boundaries. new borns need to feel secure and loved. imagine coming out of a secure womb hearing your mother everyday and now into a world of air with so many noises sights and lights. its a scary world. babies don't cry in order to manipulate they cry to ask for help.
toddlers are the ones who needs to be spoiled lesss and learn to be independent. a newborn is not an independent being. a toddler can talk a baby is defenseless, a newborn can't move and change position because it is uncomfortable or scratch an itch or say i have a tummy ache. a babys cry is a signal.
please research before being convinced of following the "traditional crowd". just because something has been done over and over again doesn't mean it is the best and healthiest for the child.

there are other ways to sleep train the baby. like massaging their backs until they go to sleep at the same time everyday until their bodies automatically feel tired at the same time everyday.
Camping out: a technique where parents sit or lie with their babies while comforting until they fall asleep and gradually extract themselves from their children’s sleep space.
I'm doing the same thing. I rather not start a habit instead of breaking a habit later on I'll be watching mine from her baby monitor
@momx2 it is possible..wher me I am from we call them "lap babies" meaning that you can't make a move without them crying if they can't see or you not holding them
Thats what i plan on doing. after I check on him of course
id let my kids cry it out but after I made sure they didn't need anything or nothing was wrong
it's whatever you want to do. my first and second stayed in there own rooms and my thrid we have in a room with us but going to move her in with her sisters soon cause the baby going to go where she was. lol
I don't think you can spoil a newborn by picking him up and tending to him. Now a toddler maybe.
When I mention it to ppl they be looking at me like really? Maybe its the way I put it. I plan on letting him cry it out sometimes instead of spoiling him and picking him up every time he cries also. That is my biggest reason on putting him in his own room @momx2
Not wrong it's your preference. I tried it with my first but it ended up just being easier to put a bassinet in my room until he wasn't waking up as much through the night.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Will your Mom be in the delivery room?
My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
Is it wrong for me not to want my boyfriends mom in the room when I deliver my son?
