It depends on your doctor. my doctor had me go for an ultrasound at 34 weeks because he couldn't tell if my baby was still breeched or not. Other then that our appointments consist of heartbeat, and measurements, strep b testing (my next appointment) and then dialation checks

I got no more ultrasounds after 28 weeks. everything else was a Doppler check, measuring the size of my belly, the group b strep test at 34 weeks and vaginal exams weekly leading up to 40 weeks.

its to test and see if you have a bacteria down there (don't worry its very common in pregnancy) and if you do they give you medicine while you're in labor just because if they don't and the baby goes thru it your baby could get anemonia. Apparently its the #1 cause to newborns getting anemonia
