Started her on foods early, on St Paddy's. Doc wasn't happy but my first did the same thing... when baby is hungry, they are HUNGRY!

Also, with the pace feeding thing it's just a way to slow down feeding their bottles so they know when their full. It's like taking time to chew your food vs scarfing down several plates at a buffet and then realizing you ate way too much and now you're over full. You want baby to eat exactly what they need, not more.

He was all chub and only recently started slowing down gaining now that he's walking. I just get very passionate about delaying solids because I've seen the negative effects it can have. I know people who were "fine" up until their 20s and then started noticing signs of GI issues that can be traced back to starting solids around 3-4 months old vs waiting until their "open gut" closes around 6 months old.

I did as well and still chose to do what was right for my first. I do understand the concept that doctors do not want parents replacing volume of milk by volume of food because of the benefit of nutrient absorption, especially for breastfed babies. However, she's well ahead of the power curve, in the 80th percentiles and growing steadily along the same curve. So, for mine it's appropriate. Now, if she were average or below, premature, underweight or etc, certainly I would not have made the same decision. I absolutely commend mother's research before making decisions based on social media.

My son was sitting tripod at three months and unassisted completely at 4 months, but still not ready for solids. The new minimum recommendation is 6 months, not 4 due to links to GI issues later in life. Of course you'll do what you feel is right, but other mommas may see this information and choose to do the research.

mostly unassisted, yes. still loses her balance on occasion but for the most part yes she's been sitting since the 11th. the tongue reflex is mostly gone as well but that's not early as that goes on average at week 12. she's three months in a week, that's not ridiculously early really. my first sat up at three months sharp.

I did the same with my son 😊 started solids about 2 months early, he loves his food 😊

Also, is she breastfed or formula fed? If she's breastfed I would make sure to pace feed bottles so she gets 1-1.25oz per hour. It will help her tummy shrink back to normal and she won't seem unsatisfied with smaller amounts of milk. My almost 10 month old still only takes 2oz every 2 hours I'm at work.

She's sitting completely unassisted at two months old? The signs of readiness include sitting completely unassisted, losing the tongue thrust reflex, and developing a pincher grasp where they are able to pick up food between their thumb and forefinger.

she's digesting very well. it's been over a week, her poop is fine, no tummy upsets or allergies. like I said I did the same with my seven year old... when they both started eating 4oz an hour and screaming bc they are still hungry, a couple spoons of carrots and rice cereal is perfectly fine as long as it's not a replacement meal.

That's so dangerous. :/ She's probably just going through a growth spurt and need more breastmilk/formula not solid foods she can't digest yet.
