After losing my baby a couple weeks ago I decided to do some research. This is my 4th second trimester miscarriage and nobody ever had an explanation for why I keep losing my babies! My uterus is fine (aside from my fibroids which the dr said isn't causing the miscarriages) and my cervix is fine. I found out women who have untreated thyroid disease are super high risk for first and second trimester miscarriages. When I was a kid I was told I had hypothyroidism and was on meds until I was 15. I was told that there wasn't anything wrong with my thyroid and I didn't have to continue the medicine. At 17 I had my first miscarriage. I haven't taken any meds for hypothyroidism since the age of 15. I have a dr appointment Monday to get my thyroid checked. Has anyone been thru this before?? I'm really hoping I get diagnosed with hypothyroidism and get medicated so that I can try to conceive again.

Blood clotting disorders can cause early and later miscarriages. Sorry for your loss! I can seem to make it past 10 weeks, I hope I find answers too.

I have Hypothyroidism. .....but I don't understand why doctors told you that you didn't have to take meds anymore. Once you are diagnosed, it's for life. I'm so sorry for your loses. Hopefully, you'll be able to get a the right diagnosis and get back to ttc.

i use to have hypothyroidism tell i got surgery last year..

I have hypothyroidism and wasn't diagnosed until the beginning of my second pregnancy. I miscarried my first pregnancy and I am pretty sure it was because of having hypothyroid and not knowing. Been on meds since the beginning of my second pregnancy and that pregnancy and this one have been fine as far as that goes. I do have to have my thyroid checked every 3 months to make sure my levels haven't changed. So definitely get it checked and good luck and lots of prayers and baby dust your way 💗

I have thyroid disease but I take medication for it ...without it I probably wouldn't have been able to get pregnant cus of hormone imbalance ....always take ur meds cus if ur not producing hormones how is your baby getting anything to grow? Look into it, if they told you to stop taking meds and u can link that and your miscarriages I'd sue! Esp since ur under there care
