They aren't cheap and hardly ever go on sale. Maybe try thrift stores, I've found some nice stuff from goodwill.

I started wearing maternity clothes when my regular clothes got uncomfortable.

I started pretty early because regular pants caused me pain. They are slightly expensive but extremely worth it, even if you only buy two pair pants and wear them each twice and wash them frequently. Regular maxi skirts are great too though.

I always find great deals on target.com also Burlington coat factory is cheep and they have a big maternity section. Also sign up for notifications from destination maternity I once bought 2 jeans there for $15

Look on poshmark the app. I've bottom a handful of cute maternity dresses 😊 and I also shop at Burlington and Ross 😊

Try old navy, motherhood maternity has some pretty nice clothes but its on the pricey side.
