Stick to your gut. If you don't want them to, just say no. If they ask why, be straight and tell them you don't know them very well and you don't want your kid exposed to smoking or second hand smoke. Don't worry about what they might think or if they think you're being rude. You need to do what you feel is best for you and your baby

I'd say my doctor is very specific on who holds my child. their immune system is weak. and nobody is holding my child while they are smoking

Do what I do, wear your baby in a carrier against your chest. your baby will sleep the whole time and people won't be able to touch her.

Good idea^ usually no one will ask to hold a baby that is sleeping or in a carrier. Since your baby is so young I would totally say that the doctor said he can't be held until he has his shots at 2 months or because it's cold and flu season still!

Ohhh damn lol well still say that his doctor says people can't hold him til after cold and flu season. I was really worried about that as well cause my son was born 2 weeks before and thanksgiving and surprisingly no one besides my parents asked to hold him!

I wear my daughter everywhere, either in her mei tai or ring sling, she LOVES it. and no one touches her
