How long does it usually take to get WIC? If you are already approved for Medicaid.

Wic and Medicaid are two different things. I don't think it matters if your on Medicaid or not. But once you make your appointment for wic they give you the checks or card (whatever there system is) the same day.

I think each state or maybe even city is different . But atleast where I'm at Medicaid isn't required but it does help like u don't have to show proof of income if u already have Medicaid . Also where I live they won't do Wic as a walk in u have to schedule an appt . And u get the vouchers at the first appt if ur approved .

I'm pretty sure they do walk ins here in SA, TX. But we will find out tomorrow. Do you know what kind of food WIC offers? I know it's like diary and bread, but what else could it be? @tina4483

@withlovemamafox, bread, cheese, milk, juice, beans, peanut butter (only while ur pregnant), cereal .... And I think that's it I don't think I left anything out .

I live in Centerville tx an when my food stamps/Medicaid I went over to wic office an they checked to see if my Medicaid was active an it was so I fill out some paper work an they checked my iron an weight an then talked to me about breastfeeding an then I went an talked to the lady about the card an she explains it all to you. it's confusing at first but now it's pretty easy. I got it all done in the hour I was there.
