@family_first01, do you have WIC or a way of getting a lactation consultant? They will help you. Maybe try a nipple shield?

@Family_first01, completely understand now!! My first born never latched on I tried and tried and I would just cry with him because I couldn't do it, he was a preemie and I was struggling when we brought him home he was use to the nurses bottle feeding him I was just pumping till I finally ran out of milk supply and I had to formula feed him it was by far the hardest choice for me. I think you are doing a wonderful job mama!!

I know the feeling. No body told me she was going to cry so much. The first night she slept like a little angel and the second night the shock wore off and she was crying so much I pumped. Let me tell you it's a waste if you want just self express with your hand. If you pump it won't give you the colostrum you need your baby does a better job at sucking than a pump ever will plus it makes your body think you have had twins lol

he was pooping more than 8 times but he's been pooping less these passed 2 days. I give him both in the bottle @mommy431

5 diapers is ok they usually say they poop 7-8 times a day mine would poop a shit ton as well lol. I would say anything below 5 for a week old maybe isn't. Is your baby formula or breastfed? @family_first01
