I took my glucose test today (technically yesterday) but it really kicked my behind. Gave me a migraine and tons of body aches. It honestly feels like I caught the flu. Hoping I passed the 1 hour test cause I honestly don't think I can take that drink again.

@mamalamadingdong, While drinking it I couldn't see. Even with my glasses on. Messed up my eyesight so bad. Felt bad for the nurse when I was trying to just sign my name.

That's just way too much sugar! Not to mention all the nasty dyes and chemicals in it. You can actually request an alternative method shall you need to take one again or get pregnant in the future. These tests are not even accurate because they are measuring levels that most people would never reach (eating that equivalent of sugar). I've heard tons of different methods, from eating jellybeans to eating normal meals throughout the day and taking your own readings at home with the self-tests.

how long does it take to take that test? I'm a ftm an have mine coming up soon. just don't know what happens when you take it

@caddiebugg, I had to drink the drink within 5 minutes which is impossible for me cause I have to slowly eat and drink everything to avoid heart burn and nausea. Then you just soot around for an hour before they take your blood.
