Why do some moms chose to formula feed I don't understand that...????

I breastfed my son for about a month but then I started getting really anemic and sick because he was taking literally all of my vitamins and nutrients from me. I was taking prenatals and iron pills as much as I could to help but it didn't work. I got really sick and I didn't even get my appetite back until over a year later. It wasn't healthy for me to breastfeed.

I breastfeed & give my son formula as long as my baby eats and is healthy I know I'm doing good job

I am strictly asking out of curiosity. Neutral ground here I'm a ft mom and don't have to formula feed and didn't look much into it seems as I am strictly breastfeeding and was curious why they ask like in the hospital if you are going to formula feed or breast. I was just wonder what would be some reasons to formula feed instead of breast. not meaning to step on anyone's toes at all.@alliecat_, @amorette @chela915 @leesambee @katearabella @katarama but thank you for all the reasons now I can further my understanding on the subject.

I did both nothing wrong with either one as long as baby is healthy

@leesambee, you get looked down on if you do either for having your boob out or for not some people have depression and can't with meds or anything else I understand that some can't and families I know adopt and obviously cant

yeah true @katearabella jst sometimes i feel ppl think its the easy way out..u kno..i wish with all my heart i could get tht experience of bonding esp with my daughter bt not all. moms can..jst tht hit close to home! its feels as if a mom who formula feeds gets look down on...js.. bt may jst may my lil one now i can experience it!

wow!! lol..lil judging no??? my first she jst wouldnt latch on!! sec my i opt for it jst work better for me!! both my kids rarely got sick and are healthy as any child..why does seem to me ur judging a mother to why she doesn't breastfeed?? you think ur better than mother tht cant or chooses not to??? @mhaley1223

Sometimes there is no excuse and don't want to breastfeed.

they also sometimes dont have the time. theres cases where they have to go right back to work

Some moms may be on medication that prevents them or they are unable to take the right amount of time off work to really continue with the babies eating schedule

cus not all moms can produce milk...
