prego mommies who are working when did you tell your job you were pregnant??? I started a new job today and I wanted to know the right time I will be 14 weeks tomorrow and I'm already starting to show so I'm not sure how much longer I can hide it
Waited til I reached my second trimester just in case I had a miscarriage.
Yesterday!!!! They hugged and kissed me and was over the top and I gave them each a copy of the ultrasound that says its a boy!!!! And I'm 14 weeks they said well where that baby hiding!!!
They were happy, I knew that I needed to let them have notice because the head chef had to hire and train someone to take over my place. If you are comfortable with your boss I would tell them sooner than letting them figure it out on their own. Shows you respect your job as well as your boss, I think they will be happy for you too especially since your getting your little girl:)
@meboom01, I work with mostly women and my boss just had a daughter recently and adores her so I'm pretty sure she can relate
I told them at 16 weeks, I was a chef so they couldn't tell with my big chef coat on anyway:)
I was hired in late September when I was 5 weeks and told them in November so about 2 months of being there. They were all so excited for me
I told mine a week after I found out because they needed to know if I was coming back next year because they were sending out contracts that month so I had to tell them.
@mrs.medrano, sorry to hear that women can be bitches most of the time
i see what you mean, id honestly wait out the probationary period to say anything just in case. even if you're showing they're not allowed to even ask and you dont have to let them know. good luck :)
@kelseys, I work 7:30-4 my Dr closes at 6:30 so I'm just going to schedule my appointments late
I told them at 16 weeks and they gave me hell over it besides the fact that I only work with women everyone has made everything so difficult for me the only that understands is the owner which is a male but it's always out of town. as I've gotten bigger no one helps me out with anything I'm leaving at the end of the month
Aww lol. & my friend was hired threw a temp agency as well. I believe she told them she was pregnant a little before 20 weeks just so her job could know she is a good worker and will be even after the baby. She did get hired on full time. Best of luck!
mines was probation 90 days till the job was actually permanent and I told them during that time. just don't give them a reason to doubt you while pregnant, I worked super hard, harder then some of the other workers and when it came time for my leave they didn't want me to go. but just try to not call off or go in late and always request off on your appointments ahead of time
@anniewakeen, I'm not worried about them firing me I'm worried about them not hiring me permanently because this is a temp to hire position but it paid really well and I'm doing billing for a insurance company so I'm sitting at my computer all day a perfect job for a pregnant woman
you really dont have to say anything for a while plus its illegal for them to fire you for that reason.
@rileysmomma16, my husband wanted to name our daughter Riley so bad lol
@kelseys, this is a temp to hire position I just don't want them to think since I'm pregnant I shouldn't be hired permanently
fine. just said congratulations. they can't fire you for being pregnant
I found out I was pregnant a week before I started my job. I had to tell them when I was 8 weeks cause I had horrible morning sickness & was constantly calling out & didn't want to loose the job I JUST got lol. But they were very understanding & thankfully are to this day. Whenever you feel comfortable is when I would tell them. I just didn't really have an option lol
I told them when I found out which was after a month of working
I told them around 13-14 weeks just to make sure everything went ok in the first trimester.
I'm a first time mom and wanted to know when did you guys start showing i will be 8 weeks on sunday :)
So I keep feeling these lil sharp pains on my right side. You do get pains like that before you start your period right.? Remember I had that dark brown spotting for a few hours last month on the 22. My period suppose to start today.
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
☁️✨DREAM JOB!✨☁️
I’m curious. What is your dream job? If you had no obstacles in your way or could create it, what would your job be? Or are you already in your dream job? I like finding out everyone’s passions/interests 😊
Teachers - can I just say
I'm not overpaid thank you!
You should be fine then. Women tend to be happier about it than men.
