Anyone have any tips for surviving colic?
I am home all day with him by myself and he is so colicky, so most of the day is spent nursing, soothing him while he's fussing, and the occasional nap in his swing. I moved recently and the only mom friends I have live 45 minutes away.
PS. We're at 7 weeks, so we've got another 5 weeks of this to deal with, I'm told.
change of scenery may also help. walk around the house exploring different rooms and go outside. sing to baby....tummy time...
I would look into why he's fussy. Most likely gas or reflux. Some babies are just more needy. My son is one of them. He has reflux and for him we needed meds. I'm the most anti med mom you'll ever know but for him he really truly needed it. I also have to burp him constantly. If not he gets super gassy and miserable. So my advice is to look up signs of reflux and burp as much as possible. I'm just coming out of the tunnel myself. Before you know it you'll be chasing him around the house and this will be a thing of the past ! ☺️ It will get better !
When my son was fussy the only way to make him stop crying was to take him outside!
have you tried gas drops? and are you sure he doesnt have silent reflux?
@emmajeremy2627, unfortunately it only works occasionally with my little guy.
@foreveryoung247, we're actually on meds for reflux already!
