What's your views on pain relief in labour girls? I still don't know what I'm gonna do 😓

I had the injection, gas and air and an epidural. I didn't want an epidural but had it in the end. Do whatever you feel you need at the time xx

Don't feel silly. I didn't no what I want until I was in labour. Go with what you feel you need when in labour xx

Def just see how you feel. I totally forgot about that being a option when I was in labour and by that time I pushed him out already. Xx

I didn't have any, but I had a pool birth and would recommend the water! It was amazing xxx

just have to see how you feel all along I said big no to epidural not expecting to be rushed in for an induction and put on hormone drip which makes your contractions so painful and constant so I gave in a had the epidural and used gas and air. don't regret it because you get to click the button on your epidural every 20 minutes and at the end when your about to push they gave me an hour for it to wear off so I could feel when to push.. just wait and see what happens and decide what you feel you need when you're in labour hun. i wanted a water birth but i was high risk so wasnt allowed xxx

I only went on gas and air from 8cms :) When it came to pushing.. I wasn't allowed it. I ended up with a spinal block and forcep delivery due to complications. But I could've gone on to give birth without anything if I had the choice :) Pushing when you get a contraction actually stops the pain of the contraction :) If I had to rate the pain of contractions from 1-10...10 being severely painful. I would put the contractions at 2 or 2.5 :) I also had a back to back labour :) xxx

I only used gas and air - not by choice but coz they didn't expect me to be so quick ha ha xx it was ok tho ,I feel really proud with myself now :) xx

I had gas n air once I reached 5cm x

With my 1st it was too late to have anything so tries the gas and air but did not like the taste of it. Personally, I think if had enough time I would of opted for pethidine or epidural but had to go it with nothing at all. This time, I think I will try to do it natural (I'd like a water birth) but if it's too painful, I'll go with the epidural
