TMI, I'm really sorry to ask this but does anyone know whether its safe to have sex when you've been told you have a subchorionic hematoma? I've been told to avoid sex by the ER doc, and then my OB said to be cautious. So is it safe or no?
@e_n_j_mommy, oh wow. Damn. Thank you so much!!! I would have totally screwed up. I really appreciate you!
yeah be very careful. I was on pelvic and bedrest as soon as they found mine. just be very careful. drinking cold water helps with easing the cramping.
the specialist and my ob said absolutely no sex or even stimulation of your nipples. nothing that will make you contract.
@e_n_j_mommy, when I was at the er the doc said it took up a third of my uterus. But when I went for my dating ultrasound the tech didn't mention anything so I asked and she was like , oh yea...its still there. Just be cautious so I was kinda confused
you don't want to irritate your uterus more. the blood as it is irritates your cervix. you don't want anything to make your sch get bigger. the blood from the sch irritated my uterus causing me to have painless dilation. I was dilating and had no idea so I got an infection and it caused me to go into preterm labor.
@e_n_j_mommy, oh no! I'm so sorry. Thanks for the warning. Gosh I hope they explain SCH a bit more at my next appointment.
no don't have sex. that's how I lost my baby boy last year at 23.4 weeks.
by my next appointment it was gone so at least 2-4 weeks it went away. I was 15 weeks along when we saw it at the er which is later than most find out they have it
@vanessa7057, @aimers8031 @hermommy thanks ladies! I was really confused because one doctor seemed super adament and the other was very nonchalant about it. @mommaofginger how long did it take to go away for you?
when I had one with my first daughter I was told I couldn't have sex until it had gone away because it could cause it to bleed again.
If both the Docs said to avoid or be careful, I personally would not have sex
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.

no problem. I know it's hard to stay without it but it's definitely a lot harder to have to lose your baby. just have patience and hopefully your body absorbs it. I'll keep you and your Lil one in my prayers.
