Yes! I made that mistake with my first but learned in the breastfeeding class I took this time that you should wait at least a month before introducing a pacifier. Wish I knew then!

my oldest 2 wouldn't latch on very well but both took pacis in the hospital the day they were born. my third never took a paci. she nursed for 4.5 months. this time around I'm not using pacis or bottles this time around!!!

it takes a little bit of practice to get baby to latch. I struggled with my oldest and at 2 weeks she finally latched to where it was comfortable and didn't hurt. but only nursed for a month and a half and I ended up with mastitis

I'm terrified, I tried breastfeeding my last 2 kids but my nipples were black blue and raw as hell! that was just after a few days! I couldn't keep going. you can breastfeed! I have faith in you @michellevaldez4750 it's honestly all about the latch. contact a latch specialist. if you lived closer I'd be more than happy to help. but since we have this app I'll send you EVERYTHING that helped me with breastfeeding my third. I also failed my first 2 attempts. third time was way better. 4.5 months of success. I would've kept going but she got a sore throat and wouldnt latch anymore... but I'm here to help the best I can
