at 39 weeks you can legally ask to be induced( doesn't mean they'll says yes) But they can induce you:) My OB said at 39 weeks you can ask I was told if i made if to 39 and asked he would induce

They won't induce your first baby until 41 weeks, and your second they can induce at 39. But because it's your first they can't risk it because it's a high chance for emergency c section

I was going to be induced at 41 weeks but he came 2 days before the 41 weeks, I recommend waiting, he will come when he's ready. You don't wanna risk it. It's almost over, I know how you feel. But wait till the baby is out. You will miss it!! I sure do

@seven this is my first and my OB had no issue inducing I've never been told anything of a higher risk just talk to your doctor

Yeah I think it varies by Doctor! No harm in asking. I was supposed to be induced I believe at 39 weeks, but ended up needing an emergency csection before labor even happened lol.

The baby should be in you for as long as it can, the natural way is the best way. which is 41 weeks, after 41 weeks the placenta starts to rapture.

But if you don't have a medical reason to induce you shouldn't do it because you feel like it.

I highly recommend waiting, you waited 39 weeks you can wait another week

My ob offered to induce me at 39 weeks, she said it was totally up to me. If you don't have a medical reason to be induced early, 39 weeks is the earliest they're allowed to do it. That's what she told me! I would just ask her viewpoints/ opinions on being induced early! I was going to be induced at 39 weeks, but had an emergency c-section at 37 weeks 3 days
