Feeling daft for being so excited that I've started to get colostrum in my boobs! 😆 I wondered why…

No I bought some nipple shells when he was 2 weeks old just to catch excess milk which ive frozen for weaning but he just has the boob, doesn't like bottles xxx

My milk came in 4 days after he was born xxx

@darciepenny, my daughter really didn't get on with breastfeeding. She didn't latch and when she did she'd fall asleep on the boob! It was more comfort for her than anything. I expressed as much as I could with a manual pump but she was so hungry I couldn't keep up with her and ended in formula! Have a double electric this time round as there's no way I'm manually expressing with twins!! 😂 xx

@darciepenny, yes it does take a few days for the actual milk to come in, they have all the colostrum first xx

I know, my little boy hated my boob at first and would also fall asleep, I had to tickle his chin to keep sucking before I let him fall asleep😂 but we've hit two months and he's still going thankfully! And hahaha oh my! I don't think I could handle twins😂xxx

I leaked only at 38 weeks :) Gave birth at 39+1 :) I have a great supply :) My milk came in day 3 :) I expressed day 5 and 6 so I could get some extra rest as I had a 4 day stay in Hosp and didn't sleep at all. She is now 7 weeks old and refuses a bottle :) I prefer that she sucks on my boobs anyway :) xxx

@darciepenny, you say you're milk came after 4 days...what did you do wile you were waiting? xx

Colostrum (yellow milk) comes first, that feeds baby in the first few days, then your proper milk comes through @abs645 xxx
