Having a dilemma. My sisters friend is throwing her a suprise shower may 21rst. Im due a week and a few days later. I want to be there for her but it will be 3 hours away and it makes me nervous that i might go into labor there, or something like that. Ughhhh, Im sure what i should do.

Most doctors don't want you traveling more then an hour once you hit 35 weeks

Or if it comes down to it you & your sister could spend a day together shopping & such and it could be your own private shower in a way. Either way I'm sure your sister will understand!! 😊

Your doc can check you to make sure your cervix is closed & firm before you travel that way, & since you're not flying I would think you'd be okay. Plus babies can come late too 😊 just pay close attention to your body around that time & know what possible early labor symptoms you could get. Like if you're going to the bathroom a lot, body is preparing, if you get more frequent contractions, I haven't had any yet & I'm 36 weeks. Etc. sometimes nausea/morning sickness comes back when you're close to labor.

Ask your doctor, if you are that worried about it.

Awwwwwww I totally understand that. Hmmmm well you could go but if you don't go and the baby doesn't come that day you might think back on it and say you should've went. But you're totally right with being hours away. I don't think she would take it as you're taking the spot light if you were to go into labor

That is quite a dilemma. Don't think about it I think you'll be fine. Remember even if you go into labor it could take hours or even days before the little one is born so you'll be able to make it back. Maybe everyone's pregnancy and labor is a tad bit different. I would go.

I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
