what?? so wat can I do to make sure that won't happen again wen i go back to my job? and how did this happen.? that they didn't take out the roght amount
Just did mine and my husband. We only received 120 federal and 180 state. His old job wasn't taking the right amount of federal out and he was only at that job for 3 months. By law your job is suppose to take 10% every pay check if their not then you wont recieve a lot or may end up owning. We had someone do our taxes and thats what the lady told us. She also said to keep all pay stubs in case your W-2 is not correct and if you bought shoes or clothes that are work related keep the receipts because it can be added when doing taxes. We have to ammend a W-2 but haven't received it yet.
I have no clue why they haven't taken any federal out that's odd maybe you didn't claim enough through the year but the federal is the bulk of your return also how many Dependants are you claiming on your taxes that is a factor also
@supermommy31082, 14/15 I worked for subway and 8 months at a restaurant but I on the W2 I saw that I haven't been withheld federal taxes now where I tried to do my taxes online it tells me my return will be only 100 bucks. how if I'm filling for 2 years and fir 8 months from the restaurant. and why is there no federal tax on my w2

I'm not claiming anyone and I worked only 2 days a week there only fit like 2 months 4 days a week so my income wasn't really much
