First weeks should be woken up during the day but let them sleep at night... Wait for them to wake up. And just apply diaper cream, enough of it whenever the baby will be In the same diaper for a prolonged period of time. I use desir in maxim the purple tube.
I will wake her up if it's been 4 hours. Plus, I am paranoid about her getting a rash from a wet or dirty diaper
