I had sex without a musuc plus but when my water broke we didn't bc u can get an infection really easy and u can start contractions up when my water broke they wouldn't even check me until the day I had my son bc they didn't want me to start contracting and dialating and have him sooner then I did

I didn't feel any different I just woke up one mornan in a puddle of fluid and I found out it was my water broke at 22weeks then I had my son at 24 weeks

@showersoverflowers, ok thanks so much! so when i lose it ill for sure know? good to know! yea infection is what im worried about ill just be careful. i just wont have sex for now.. we haven't been doing much in that department anyway

we can't unless we wear protection because the sperm sends me straight into contractions. but unless your water breaks, I don't think you're at risk of infection. but then again, I'm not an expert! I'd say you're okay because when you lose your entire plug, it's a lot! like how is this possible amounts hahaha

@showersoverflowers, im a nurse and work at a hospital but my field is cardiac not labor and delivery so this is all new to me except what i learned in school.. hmm i wonder if my l&d has that option. so r u still able to have sex despite you losing the plug? im not even sure. that it was my plug. it was a mucus sliver for sure light yellowish

I know! the hospital I went to for all my care with my son did have a 24 hour call line specifically for this type of thing and it was so handy just to call and ask. It almost makes me want to just call them even though I don't even live in the same state anymore

@showersoverflowers, i lost my first one so yea this is my second but i duno? just got home n checked.. no more discharge or mucus no blood or pink tinge n no cramping.. good to know these things happen tho.. my ob has an on call doctor on the weekends and after hrs but i will there was an on call nurse just to bug with stuff like this

I lost mine completely, started having menstrual like cramping, and then started having consistent and painful contractions so I made a same day at my ob and they did an ultrasound to do measurements and checked me. I was not thinning out at all but was dilated to a 1. But I just had a baby 2 years ago and have had losses so it could be just a normal multiple birth mommy thing. I get checked again this week to make sure everything's staying put.

@showersoverflowers, how do you know if youre dilated?

As long as it's not blood tinged and you aren't dilated then you are good. It will rebuild
