That's crazy! lol what a coincidence. I'm hoping my little one will be a libra, unless the baby comes super early (God forbid) the baby will be one. I don't want to share my bday lol but I may not have a choice.

@mommytobesari, same here, I can't take not being prepared. No way! I'm due on the 8th and my birthday's the 4th!! We really are some of the best people lol I have quite a few Libras in my life too, some of my closest relatives are Libras as well

@jc100495 I like to be prepared, ain't no shame in that! I'm due on October 6th, 2 days before my birthday. Libras are some of the best people. I am one and so are my two best friends.

@naecureton, haha October babies are the best! (I'm partially biased because I'm an October baby myself lmao) my baby's due October 8th! It's really funny because I'm turning 21 on the 4th and had planned to have a huge party (that I probably wouldn't have even remembered in all honesty with all the alcohol related stuff I had in my plans lol) on the 8th, so now the money that was going towards that I plan on using towards my shower and other baby stuff 😂

@mommytobesari, I'm only 11 weeks too! When's your due date?! My SO and mom keep making me feel crazy saying "well you still have a little time" I'm like no we don't! Lol they act like I'm trying to put down deposits and everything else right this second when all I want to do is just establish some ideas of stuff so when the time comes all that needs to be done is buy and pay for stuff

@josy, I'm not too concerned about the food because I know both sides will kill that no problem lol just visual stuff and the cake and maybe favors, and definitely the date

@arachelle, awww! I'm in the same boat a little with the whole being the most crafty of people in my life and being a good planner but everyone is still ready to take over lol you should tell them you'd like there help and it'd mean a lot to you even if they feel you'd do a better job alone and see if they come around!

@brittneylove, lol I kind of feel the same. I didn't want a surprise but I kept hearing so much "you can't plan your own" bs that I didn't want to throw my own after awhile but I still wanted to be involved with decoration and stuff because I'm an artsy person and a perfectionist.

@jessicaaa08, if my SO wasn't so against us throwing our own I'd definitely do it but since it's going to be co-Ed I guess I HAVE to let him have some input (...or pretend to and then I make the ultimate decision lol just kidding). My best friend is helping me too she's kind of speaking on my behalf since I'm not really supposed to be involved so I just send her stuff left and right and tell her "make sure this gets done like this" lol so I'm not technically too involved but I still get my way, and I don't want the financial stuff to be a burden on others so I'd feel wrong not helping or paying seeing as it's for me, and I have pretty expensive taste lol so I definitely feel wrong not doing some part financially. Luckily I have quite awhile (I'm due in October but due to everyone in my life and my own personal preference I'd rather do it the end of August so I'm not too big and miserable that I can't enjoy it, and I have time to just relax and focus on me and baby and getting everything all finished and ready since I'm due early October), but I still have to establish stuff now with the way everyone involved is lol.

@naecureton, lol I hate surprises too, but my SO is so "pro-surprise party" but I plan on working up until as late as I can the month before my baby's due since I'm due early in October so I need to know dates so I can request them off according to my company's rules, and yeah I mean I don't mind not planning the whole thing but I'd definitely like some input

@lexpalma, lol my mom knows me and has literally let me plan all my own parties or be apart of it for as long as I can remember, I don't mind a few surprises here and there, but I'm probably the most picky (and deemed the most "snooty" lol) of my entire family so it'd be too hard for me to not have some say and not be able make sure something that involving me wasn't exactly how I wanted it.

@babymay2016, that's a good compromise! If push comes to shove I'd be content with that. Thanks for the input!

I am only 11 weeks and I'm planning my own, kinda early on so I didnt give anyone the chance to plan mine. I would rather plan it along with the help from my close friends.

I think that it's okay to say the colors and decorations you would like. I also gave two dates I felt was best and that's it. everything else is up to my mom and whoever else. I didn't even mention the food I would want. as long as I get one I will be happy

im the opposite, no one has ever thrown me shower and I feel sad about it. I was told its because im a good planner and im super crafty it would turnout better if i did it myself. I would still like the help or someone to offer to help.

mine is being thrown by my family but I know the date and time and place. I gave the theme and color scheme and that's about it lol I didn't want a surprise but I didn't want to throw it myself either lol so I'm a part of it without being in it if that makes sense

I'm basically throwing my own.. My best friend is helping with making decorations and stuff but i've paid for everything besides the cake.. I too need to be in control of everything haha mine is in 2 weeks i'm so excited!! I think the whole "you cant throw your own shower" is so old school. Nowadays us girls do it more often!

My Family Decided They Wanted To Surprise My Husband And I, All We Were Able To Do Was Pic A Color Scheme And The People We Wanted There. It All Came Out To Be Wonderful, I Just Wished I Was Involved A Little More (I Hate Surprises)

I made all the decorations for my baby shower lol. My mom wanted to do everything but I just wanted it to be perfect & I was stubborn. I don't think there's anything wrong with it

I think it is totally okay for you to throw some ideas out there if you want!! It is your baby and your shower 😊 I gave just some minor details but am letting the rest be up to my aunt and cousin.
