I'm 23yrs old, a single mother of a 4yr old & one on the way. I've made my decision of getting my tubes tied during my second trimester & I've had alot of time to think this through. I'm so annoyed that people keep questioning my decision & telling me that I'm going to regret it.
If you feel that it's what's best then that's what will be . @janinee
@zayzay101, that's exactly how I feel. I wanna give my daughters the best life I can possibly give them.
At the end of the day you have kids some don't even have that choice . And it's your body if you feel that 2 kids is enough then go for it . No ones going to help you financially and those that do should be the only opinions you need to keep in mind . @janinee
@lilfree16, that's what I thought too till I asked my doctor & she said I can definitely get them tied as long as I'm 100% sure. I signed the consent forms & everything already.
i thought you needed to be at least 25 and have a certain amount of kids.
no problem. I'm with all the way on this one.
@polkadotcutie, you're definitely right ... thanks hun. I appreciate the support.
And if the day ever does come that you change your mind and want to have more children all you have to do is get them untied. Don't let them get to you or get you discouraged. Your life, your choices. And if you're supported by your mom and sister then you really don't need anyone else support.
@polkadotcutie, exactly. Their excuse is "What if you find a man that eventually wants kids?" If a man really loves me, he'll except the fact that I don't want anymore kids & he'll love my kids as his own. if not then I guess I'm staying single forever... I don't mind at all lol My mom& sister are totally supportive of my decision & their opinions are really the only ones that I care about.
It's your body. if it's something that makes you happy then don't let anyone tell you anything. They don't have to agree but they do have to respect your desicion because at the end of the day you're doing what's best for you.
I meant I made my decision during my 2ND trimester lol @thehowtohippie. I guess I worded that wrong.
You can't. I'm getting them done after I deliver this baby , which will be Tuesday lol @thehowtohippie
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
I think that's a normal reaction to have given how young you are and you really don't know for the future. I'm 26 and decided that I'm not ready to end that chapter in my life but I also do think We are done after this pregnancy (we will have 3). I understand your stance, but I wouldn't take it out on them for feeling as though you might regret it when you're older
