any mommies that had c sections did they still let you do skin to skin like right after or did you have to wait until…

I don't think there is skin to skin when having a C-Section.

When I had mine I only saw my baby for about 10 secs.

They are painful.

Some do and some don't. My dr said not right after for me, but after they clean and weigh baby then I can.

I've already been to the hospital that I'm going to be at and they said they don't give baby a bath for 2 hours so hopefully if I have to have one they will let me @lalamichelle0707 and that's what I'm afraid of @ilovemykids24 also I'm afraid of the epidural 😣

Yes, with this new baby I'm having in August they are putting me to sleep. I had an epidural the first time and I will never do that again.

I thought they couldn't do that because of baby still being connected to you?? @ilovemykids24

I have read up and talked to my doctor. They said it will be okay but I wont be about to see my baby until later and I'm also getting my tubes tied.

does the epidural affect your arms then too I thought it was just supposed to be like your waist down @theinkedmommy

Yeah I'm not really sure. Maybe you could ask so you know ahead of time.

But we did skin to skin the whole time I was being stitched up and even while I was being transferred back to my room from the OR

hey I just had a c-section the 16th. I don't know the question really hahaha. I felt the pressure of the baby being taken out. that it is. you can ask for a clear drape and watch the baby being taken out. they have to do tests because a baby isn't squeezed out so there is probably more liquid in their lungs. the baby is brought to you and they try to do as much skin to skin as possible. the epidural wears off after 2 hours. I was even able to move to my own bed.

you do NOT feel the incision. you do not feel being tied back up. I was hysterical before because I didn't feel "prepared" since it was a week early, but it was such a great expirience. even my fiance said so

the whole procedure from getting in to the OR to recovery was an hour. as soon as we were in the recovery room I was having skin to skin and breastfeeding.
