really starting to get nervous for the intense pain associated with labor and delivery 😰
I will try to keep all that in mind! Thank you,😊😀 @i.xvi.mmxvi and I feel the same exact way! @emkasting I feel like I'll try to be so prepared and it'll all go right out the window! But I am sure we will be fine, just the pre labor panics. 🤔
Thanks so much ☺️ if you don't mind I may be messaging you for more advice as my due date gets closer! @i.xvi.mmxvi
@emkasting, Every situation is different, so hopefully if you're induced you can move around. Good luck!
Oh really? Good to know! I saw someone on here say that if you're induced you're not allowed to walk around so I figured I wouldn't be able to! @i.xvi.mmxvi
@emkasting, I was induced and they actually encouraged me to get up and walk but the pain meds made me feel high so I chose not to!
@i.xvi.mmxvi, do you suggest I get a yoga ball to bounce on? I've seen a lot of ladies on here say they used one
Oh yeah I definitely plan on walking as much as I can while in labor if I can, I know if you get induced they don't let you walk around so I really hope I go into labor naturally! @i.xvi.mmxvi
@emkasting, @shananaginsx You're welcome, ladies! If I can give you one piece of advice I wished I had taken, it's STAY MOVING. Don't let yourself get trapped in one position because the pain is so bad. I wanted to get up and move so bad but I was in so much pain I literally couldn't move. All I could do was lay down and shake and cry and moan. I felt pathetic. I knew some positions on the birthing ball that I would've loved to try but I let my pain get the best of me. That's the cool thing about skipping the epidural. You can move around and have a little bit more freedom.
@shananaginsx I'll probably forget to breathe too lol just because of everything that will be going on. I'm kind of expecting the absolute worst pain, that way if it ends up not being TERRIBLE then I'll feel a lot better! But if it is awful and unbearable at least i will have prepared. Two of my co workers had babies just recently and both of them had quick and easy labors. Both were in labor for less than 9 hours and pushed a total of 5 times and their babies were out 😒😒 I'm happy for them but I don't see that happening for me!
@i.xvi.mmxvi I would much rather someone give it to me straight than sugar coating it! I'm definitely not expecting it to be easy, I just hope it isn't 5 days long haha! I'm really sorry to hear about your loss, that is terrible and I hope you are able to get justice for what happened. But I appreciate your kind words of encouragement, I definitely need it.
The outcome of having him is the only thing that will push me through it! I want to not get an epidural but I am still unsure because I don't know what to expect! That's what makes me so nervous is not knowing how the pain will be, especially hearing both that it's Terrible or not bad! I'm sure I'll forgot to breathe! It's like you know the entire pregnancy that you will have to give birth but for some reason it didn't hit me until like last week how close it really is! I just hope I have a quick easy labor. And I am so sorry you had to go through that, I couldn't even imagine. But thank you for the advice and the wishes. ☺️. @i.xvi.mmxvi
My son Isaiah was still born. He died during birth, and my son Jace only lived for a short time after delivery. I was wrongfully told I had to be induced and give birth when I went into early labor and that resulted in the loss of my sons, so I'm working on suing, but don't be scared about stillbirth. It's not all that common, and if it's gonna happen there's really nothing you can do to prevent it. Just try not to stress about it. I had a constant fear of dying while giving birth and I'm still here, lol. Labor is the most rewarding thing there is. Just remember what's at the end of it all. As soon as baby comes out the pain instantly goes away because you're so in love. Good luck to the both of you! @emkasting @shananaginsx
Don't let someone tell you it's not as bad as you think because you will be in for a huge surprise. Labor pains are awful. I'm not going to lie to you. I personally opted out of the epidural when I had my twins. I was given some Dilaudid for my pain and reaching 9 and 10 cm I felt like it wasn't enough at all. For my next baby I'm probably going to try my best to opt out of the epidural once again but I'll make that decision once I'm in labor. 😂 Just remember to breathe. Once I got to a certain point the pain was so constant and intense I couldn't breathe. My boyfriend kept telling me to just try to breathe and I was getting really frustrated because it wasn't that easy. I was obviously in great pain so he was making me mad by saying that but when I did start focusing on my breathing things got a little better. And don't be afraid to make noise. It's the kinda pain where you have to make noise and I was a little self conscious and didn't want anyone to hear me but no one's gonna judge you for being loud.
I know, it really does blow my mind thinking that in 8 weeks or possibly less I'm going to be a mother. But my mind also goes to horrible places making me worry intensely about still birth and SIDS, things like that. It's making me really stressed out, I've had a great pregnancy but knowing that stillbirth can happen on completely normal pregnancies makes me really scared. @shananaginsx
I've had Braxton hicks but they don't hurt! I'm like omg in the next 3-6 weeks I'm going to go through that! It's so crazy to think about. 😣😆
@shananaginsx right! You're only about 2 weeks ahead of me, I'm starting to get really nervous! Especially since I haven't even had Braxton hicks contractions so I literally have no idea what to expect
I'm not looking forward to it either! It's getting scarier as its coming closer!
You're welcome :)
