Do you have to rear face the car seat when they're new borns?

@teamblue040416., when the child is born yes, but you can follow the guidelines on the car seat itself.

its safest while their necks aren't so sturdy..

If you look up the reasons for rear facing, and what happens in an accident if they forward face too soon.. I think you will choose to rear face your baby. They are something like 500% safer rear facing.
