I smoked once in a while before I got pregnant and my kids were asleep it helped me to sleep but now I dnt think I will after I have the baby since I'm scared it will make me not wake up

I read an article that it doesn't affect the baby. I believe somewhere in Europe they were testing it. It was saying something about how it helps advance the babies brain and all. But, you should look into it. Ask more than one doctor. In the end you'll figure out what to do (:

@anerruny12, I try to smoke only when he's asleep for the night or when he's occupied and I make sure to drink a cup or black tea to help keep me from getting groggy during the day. It helps clear my head and I actually get more done after I smoke than I would if I didn't. Lol

@inkedizzy, , I haven't noticed any differences in his behavior either. And he's ahead or on track in development :) and his mommy's head is in a better place which makes a better parent too. I've done quite a bit of research myself once I found out I was pregnant . It's not that important to me but it's a lot better than prescription drugs that we make in a lab.

because you're a mom? I don't smoke. never do...but it's marijuana...smoke away. I mean sure, don't smoke it in his face. but I don't get the problem? don't feel guilt or weird about it. it's just marijuana. it's shocking society still has quarrels about it.

@ramenmami, lol I never would smoke around him. It's always outside and he's inside in my view either asleep or playing on his gym. It is very sad that moms especially are shamed for smoking because it is a lot safer than other pain medications/ anti-depressants etc. I was just curious because it's a topic that is almost taboo and I've only seen it be brought up on this app once before.

@lilbit123, I'm on an antidepressant and I've got anxiety that can ruin my whole week.. I know how you feel. I usually smoke during the day and drink black tea to help balance my energy back out. I didn't smoke at night until Lucas was sleeping a good 6-8 hrs every night . That's still a concern of mine too so I do it sparingly. Maybe ur hubby could help you by being more alert for the baby if u smoke that night? That's what my bf does for me.. It's funny because he won't wake up if I start moving around but he wakes up for the baby if I'm knocked out cold. Lol

I'm was on xanax for anxiety and vicdion for a conditional called trigeminal neuralgia. once I have my baby I will most def. smoke instead of the pills. and that's so my child can have a mother who isn't zoned out. despite me living in co, I think it's harmless. if any moms judge you, move on. you know what's best for you!

@ramenmami, I know exactly what trigeminal neuralgia is Hun and I'm sorry that you have to go through that. I know it can be so painful. And I hope that your pregnancy goes well and baby is good to you! :)
