I am 38 weeks pregnant my doctor told me that I need to dilate more then 1 1/2 cm she said either I have the baby this week or next week or she is going to induced and she doesn't want to induced me what can I do that will help me dilate more and or make me go into labor

I had my Dr sweep my membrane. plus walking really helps.

I'm curious as to why does your doctor want you to dilate quicker? Most doctors know there is no proven method to make you dilate quicker. :-/
