I've had panic and anxiety disorder and been diagnosed/medicated for about 17 years. I've been taking a low dose (20 mg) of Prozac that is pregnancy and BF approved and I took with both of my last 2 babies. With all 3 babies, I never experienced. PPD afterwards. My anxiety always took a backseat to my babies because it gave me something happy to focus on. So while everyone is different and anything is possible, hope for the best like what's happened with me. That said, just do a local Google search and start calling around to see if they accept your insurance and how long the wait is. I'd recommend searching for a psychiatrist so that you can be prescribed medication if needed. Psychologists and therapists can't prescribe, and if you're diagnosed and recommended for medication, then you have to wait even longer. My initial eval appt took me almost 5 weeks to get in. Finally, there's no shame in it. It's not something you can just wish away. Despite my GAD, I've still managed to get 3 Masters degrees, have a successful career, run a business, and raise awesome kids. Best of luck to you!

Thanks, @erinflaherty818 :) I'm not ashamed, I just am not comfortable with my OB 100%. Honestly planning to switch OBs with my next baby. I'll start looking for a psychiatrist through my insurance to find one that I'm covered for.

I also struggle with GAD and had PPD for a year. What helped me most was seeing a therapist who has a background in women's issues. I found mine through my pediatrician but you can search online.
