I had to go to one because my doc seen something she didn't like on the ultra sound. I went once and the HR Doc cleared me and I didn't have to go back.

it depends on your doctor if he feels like your okay later on then you will stop seeing the high risk doc

I'm doing the same thing I see my midwife on a weekly basis and i see a specialist once a month for growth scans.
