You should consider him in naming the baby if he is active in her life. It is just a tad selfish. At the rate you're going, might as well give her your maiden name.

I think you should consider his opinion if he's involved, and maybe see why he wants the change all of a sudden. In the end you decide whatever you feel is best! 😉

And I actually like both names and if I was having a girl her middle name would've been Alyse, both names are beautiful!

@babygardner I actually really like the name! I'm a big fan of unique names though so that's just me. Honestly both names are really cute. I considered the name Brooklyn for my son actually, he still doesn't have a name lol. Did you pick the first name as well? If so maybe you could let him have his input on the middle name, but maybe pick a totally different middle name than the two that are out there already, one you can both agree on :). Of course only do that if he is active in the baby's life, if he's not really going to be a part of it then you should pick the name.

I like both names @babygardner but remember with out his swimmers there would be no baby. Yes ur carrying baby but it's just as much his as your. For the next 18+ years. What do the names mean to each of you? That's what I would ask myself. Best of luck. Hubby and I planned our baby several years back and planned names as well. He is very active in her life and both picked Brooklyn for the first name although I do like Alyse I've been wanting to name my baby girl this since before she was conceived and he knows this and only recently has he brought this up I will consider it but I really don't think I'll be happy with any other name.
