so wondering thoughts on asking doctor to strip my membranes I am in so much pain and feel awful I'm at a 1 when I go back I'll be 39 weeks I just don't wanna piss them of and in the long run make them want to refuse helping me untill it's absolutely a need

Yes I've been been checked last week but I was just worried about asking and making them pissy

They are going to check you anyways so it wouldn't be a problem to strip your membranes. At 39 weeks with my 3rd he went to check me and I said oh btw can you go ahead and see if you can do anything to jump start labor. He laughed and did it for me.

I was going to ask mine when I reach 38 weeks if I haven't progressed by then.
