Breastfeeding mamas I need your help. A couple days ago I developed a really sore spot on my areola. It's like the top half of it. Whenever my baby nurses it hurts soo bad it almost feels like a bruise. But there's nothing there! My other nipple is just fine. I don't know what to do and this pain is killing me.

I would call your labor department and talk to a lactation nurse. It's possible you have a clogged duct that's what mine felt like :(

Oh no :( but I've seen some pictures online and mine doesn't look anything like that. There's nothing there :/ what did you end up doing? @kmally

You couldn't see mine--typically you don't see a clogged duct. Hot showers and hand expressing helped. <3
