I dont mind that needle poke cuz I get my blood checked regularly. its while it stays in. it just hurt the whole time and I couldn't even move my hand. I had It in basically my whole labor including transfusion in the same site after labor. you cant see my vain anymore on my left wrist
good luck! And congrats! I'll definitely say a prayer for you and baby (:
I honestly rather the iv be in my wrist than my hand at least youd be able to use both of your hands lol
@taiboos_mommy16, definitely both, probably more scared tho . I have low pain tolerance 😓
oh OK are you nervous or just excited I know I would be lol I'm both for you lol
@taiboos_mommy16, they haven't checked yet , Monday I was a 1, but they're waiting on my dr & just started my pitocin
@lesleyraesmommy, ivs are painful especially when your a hard stick and 5 different people can't get a vein or even your central vein. I strongly dislike needles. With carrying twins I have to get blood work like every 2 weeks but on the bright side I get to have an ultrasound everything I go to the doctor.
@lesleyraesmommy, it's not the same as placing it in the arm, I'm not scared of needles at all. I have 3 children the best experience I had with getting the I V on my hand was with my last but with the previous two it sucked.
@lesleyraesmommy, lol that's the biggest little poke I've ever felt in my life . @momwife1316, thanks will do
IVs are fine ladies!! I coach kids through them all day...its just a little poke then its over.
I hated that more than anything during labor. id rather have a million epidurals than have that stupid IV again lol ask for hot & cold packs to put on the injection site, they helped some. @amiasmommy
@mamabearto2cubs, I'm finally dilated to a 5
