So do the doctor automatically check me for dilation at my 37 weeks appointment ?
@cheche27, basically what they do is take their fingers and insert them into the vigina, and rech in deep to your cervix. the higher the cervix the more pain/pressure you'll feel. make sure you stay relaxed as hard as it will be and breath in through your nose and out through your mouth deeply. once I mastered being relaxed and the breathing the checks went a lot smoother for me. my doctor also told me thay I may have spotting after being checked, but I never did.
@bekka1071, not for dilation I did get a Pap smear before.. N the Pap smear kinda hurted
@cheche27, you've never been checked before? how about a papsmear? its sort of similar to that, but more presser. at least for me it was. my friend said it didnt even hurt her.
@bekka1071, ok thanks I really want to know.. N yea I know it won't be the nicest feeling I just dont know that to expect
yeah, and if he doesnt, ask him to check it, cause you never know, and thats something you need to know. @cheche27 But my doctor was really nice about checking me. it did hurt, because im really short, and he has to get up in there, but everyone is different.
I expected that tho @amiasmommy they did a Pap smear n I was over there yelling lol
@cheche27, Sorry I didn't mean to scare you, but it doesn't feel nice !
Oh damn I kinda don't want to get checked now @amiasmommy oh goodness I shouldn't have asked
@cheche27, girrrrrrl I cried like a baby, but my dr had huge hands atop that
@bekka1071, oh ok I didn't see him for 36 week so maybe he will this time
@amiasmommy, I hope he checks me tomorrow !! Did it hurt ?
Ok thanks so much. @bekka1071
