I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
Trigger. Lost baby Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
TWW!! 2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!

@katnichole17, wow that's my daughter lol it's soooo frustrating but I know it's bc she's so tiny 😂 I used a nipple shield but when watching videos on how to use it right a lady said if I put my nippletoo far in the baby can suck it through and I got terrified so I stopped using it. It did help a little tho. I only used it for about 3 days

@des_a_rayy, I did try formula her 2nd week bc I couldn't take the pain but she threw up immediately after just a few gulps and I felt horrible bc I knew it was too thick for her little tummy. I see how she is over breast milk and I just wanted to stick to the milk. That's how I am rn, or I'll bite something just so I don't make noise. Thank you, I need all the assurance I can get lol

Try the nipple cream. Also try warming it up a little so it won't hurt once you put it one. I would also recommend to see a lactation consultant maybe I. The hospital you had your baby or the WIC can help with that as well. If you are realizing a lot of milk (hear for big gulps) you might want to lay down. Hope everything works out hon.

It hurt me so bad I had to get a nipple shield just so he can latch on properly. when my son eats, he's constantly detaching due to taking breaks and takes a few to reattach because he won't stop moving his head, pushing with his arms & blocking his face. & he gets milk everywhere! but after having the shield for 2 weeks, I left it at home by accident today & had to go without it. he was able to latch on without it hurting as much as it used to. it still hurts a little but the pain goes away within seconds. Moral of the story is maybe try the nipple shield to teach him to latch on better?

Honestly, it sucks for a little while. I promise it gets better! I started feeling great about 3 months. Stick it through! It's worth it. Soon they will nurse like 5 mins every 2-3 hrs. And sleep better at night(sometimes lol). You can do this! ☺️

Yeah I had that issue. I walked around without a shirt for 3 days and the only place I was comfortable was the shower. I'm sorry. I cried a lot lol

When he was littler we nursed like this in bed and the bed would support his head and help him latch better!

Just keep going and it will get better! lol my son refuses formula so were still going and im a full time mama on top of all that :) just use nipple cream, warm wash clothes and nurse. The more you do it your body adjusts. I remember clinching blankets because it hurt lol shes learning and it takes time but soon she will be a pro :)

@in becomingme, I was going to but then it stopped hurting as much. But now they're back to always being in pain. So I'm definitely going to have to go to a lactating consultant for help. I don't want to give up yet.

@des_a_rayy, trust me I don't want to. The First 2 weeks I was crying bc of the pain but how she knocked out after a feeding and how she still does I know I can't give up, she loves it so much. I feel like we've been taking 3 steps forward and 1 step back.

Have you seen a lactation consultant? They are A LOT of help. I highly recommend seeing one if you can. Also look into le Leche league. They are also helpful. I know it hurt to breastfeed for the first 2 weeks for me(actually longer, but that was more so because of how we had to breastfeed). Anyway, you are right! It will get easier just hang in there! BUT if you do switch to formula, I want to tell you that that is perfectly fine!!! As long as your baby is being fed, and getting the right nutrients, you're doing an amazing job!!!

Dont give it up! It took about a month for it to stop hurting but as my son got older he got better at latching. Try feeding in diferent positions like laying down and facing eachother, it helped alot while he was still learning. He nursed for a long time now its alot shorter periods. You got this mama! Were 9 months and 8 teeth strong with breastfeeding! Its tough but worth it (:
