I don't know if it's just me or not , but by me being a FTM & being that im so young I literally sent myself into an anxiety attack omw to have my emergency c section done. I went to the hospital with contractions 8 mins apart even though my doctor requested me to stay home another hour. When I got to the hospital they told me that my water had broken and I didn't even know it , about 1 1/2 hours later I was fully dilated and was told to prepare myself to push. Not even 1 minute later my baby girls heart rate dropped from 117 to 59 & I was told i had to get an emergency c section. I didn't have time to be drugged bc her heart was crashing & I felt them cut into me and push her out. When I came to I instantly broke down bc if I would have waited any longer like my doctor requested, my daughter would have been dead. Idk if it was motherly instincts or just pure luck but I'm so thankful I listened to my gut feelings & not my doctor. #sorryINeededToVent
Thank you @carlitojrmami @angiek , and what made it worse my doctor wasn't even there to deliver the baby after being called 3 times . It's really a shame how much doctors neglect their patients these days
@kattyjay I agree. I'm lucky to be delivering at Duke. They have a team of several doctors & meet with all of them. You are guaranteed it will be one of them.
