I think it's better to be over packed then under packed ..
I must've done my baby's hospital bag about 4 or 5 times and re folded and reorganized her clothes and other stuff about a dozen..
I packed
pacifier
one pijama onesie
two regular onesies
two pants
two pairs of socks
3 pairs of mittens
3 caps
2 bows
2 receiving blankets
1 thick blanket
1 thin blanket
and the sanitary kit

Pacifiers and 2 pairs of socks. Anything else ?
What I've got packed in my son's hospital bag so far. A blanket his great grandma knitted him.. so I can bring him home in it, 2 new born onesies, 2 0-3 onesies, black pants that'll go with them. 2 pairs of socks, a pair of slipper shoe things, and two beanies (yes I know the hospital provides a beanie but I want him to wear his own) and baby powder, head/toe wash, shampoo, lotion, and destin. Anything else I need to pack for him?
Ladies.. I'm officially in love with Kohl's! I got my son 10 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of pajamas, 1 pair of pants, & 7 shirts/onesies for $26.42!
Ok ladies since the doc gave me the news of such an early c section yesterday I have went into complete and full nesting mode. I have no idea how much of each a baby needs. I know it's a lot but my husband is asking and I'm like idk I think we have enough blankets ect, ect... Here is my list... I know we need a lot and some are a given like diapers, wipes, lotions, soaps and things like that but you can still give me an idea of how many we need. Thanks in advance!!

Ava's diaper bag is packed. Third time mom and I'm still bringing everything she'll need even though I know the hospital provides everything!
Her bag consists of:
2 newborn long sleeve onesies with matching pants
3 going home outfits (sizes: newborn, 0-3months, three months)
1 sleep gown
3 hats
5 pairs of socks
2 pairs of mittens
2 head bands for newborn hospital pics
5 diapers
Small pack of wipes
2 soothies
1 receiving blanket
1 swaddle blanket
Depending on where you deliver they provide some of that for you I delivered at Methodist and I way over packed and only used onesies, socks, mitts, hats, and clothes for pics and a thick blanket they had provided reviving blankets, burp cloths, pacifier, the suction bulb. Had j known I would have packed less bc after o felt silly having so much for he baby. Didn't even need!
