Hi everyone. I just need some advice or anyone that can relate to me please. I am 26 weeks pregnant and went in today for check up due to not feeling movements. Was put on monitor and had a scan and baby was moving about fine and is growing fine heart beat was good however my amniotic fluid was low I have been put on steroid shot & have to see consultant regularly. Doctor said worst case I will have to deliver I am so worried all I want to do is cry I no baby is fine but what if fluid goes lower and baby has to come any advice or anyone been through what I am going through atm

@tanya.h, I was the same, but I felt like I was last to know everything whilst in their. It wasn't until I was discharged that I was talked through everything properly and reasons for certain treatments. But I was glad ladies on here convinced me to still go and get checked for reduced movements even after she had started kicking/moving because I might not have known until too late. Keep optimistic, now they are aware of the low fluid they will do all they can to make sure you and baby are ok. I'm okay now, just really apprehensive about going far on my own now incase waters go etc🙈. I hope you are too xx

thanks @nico7 I have to go back in tomorrow for steroid shot. I will ask more information at that moment I just broke down as being 26 weeks aswell all I keep thinking is what if's. Yes I will definitely message if I have more questions and thank you hope your okay x
@tanya.h, I went in a few days ago with the same thing as you reduced movements and that's when they found out about low fluid, I was in for 2 days and bed rest a long with getting some jags for to boost baby incase of early delivery. But they did reassure me that the outcome can be full term delivery and not to worry. Have weekly checks now too. Feel free to message me if you like xx
Hi, thank you hun all I feel like is my brain on over load it was just the moment doctor said 'you will have to deliver' I felt like my world had broke but they said atleast we know and we can monitor you. That's what I'm trying to do drink as much and rest. thanks again hope your okay xx

atleast they know now so they can monitor you closely. my friend had it as well and it turned out all fine :) try not to stress to much over it (easy said I know) and make sure you rest a lot and stay on top of your own fluids xx
