hey :)) what are everyone's thoughts on bleaching/dying your hair while pregnant? I've looked online and there's a very unlikely chance it would cause any harm at all but I still feel guilty doing so? what do you all think? x
yeah, definitely do a patch test as your skin/hair may react differently to usual :) hope it goes well! x
@ginnyw132, yeah I'm thinking of using just the semi permanent ones too!! it's just the bleach I'm also worried about haha. I think I'm gonna do a patch test maybe and see how it goes 😊 x
I've been using semi permanent dyes like Directions and Crazy Colour, I need to bleach as my roots are darker but I'm waiting til after to do that as I'm worried about a reaction. :) I didn't use any dye til 18 weeks though x
Dying is 100% fine in a well ventilated room.. It's bleaching you gotta be careful with because of how potent it is and your hormones can make it go a dodgy colour.. I haven't dyed mine in either pregnancy just because I can't be bothered lmao.. But I have hairdresser friends and they all day there's nothing to say that dying hair is dangerous they just advise you to be in a well ventilated room.. Xx
if there's any risk I personally don't think it's worth taking, annoying as it is believe me my roots are so bad but it's just vanity at the end of the day xxx
I had mine highlighted a few weeks ago which they were fine with-wished I had know and wouldn't have left it so long! But said its dye they won't use because of the amonnia! As for it taking-it's something I usually have done, my hair is as dark as you can get and had blonde highlights and worked as usual. Hope that helps! I was worried too but talk to your salon before for advice!
as @holliesinead said its the way the hair takes. in my first pregnancy no hair dye would dye my hair at all it just wouldnt take i looked a fat mess lol xx
i dye my hair red which i think has bleach in. my sisters friend is a hairdresser and she said these days hair dye is so different to before itll be fine just do a skin patch test first xx
@beccastirlingx, @courtniegeexo @holliesinead thank you ladies!! :) yeah that's what I'm worried about, my hair going off colour haha. I've asked my midwife also and she's said as long as your in a well ventilated area :) thank you all!! xx
I get mine done every six weeks but she doesn't do the roots because of the hormones in your body it can sometimes change the colour of the bleach or die and it can also raise your temp I don't think there's any side affects I think it's more the way your hair will take to it xx
Your in your final trimester so it should be okay! Going to a hairdressers is always best though xx
I looked on the Internet and decided against it as I didn't want to risk anything that would harm the baby xx@bethanyjade
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
