Doctors say breastfeeding babies will grow to have a bowel movement MAYBE once every week and should b fine... if thats the case,why the hell is my baby's shit dark green and he's crying to push..?? he is not fine,he's constipated..and im highly pissed cause he's not here with me.he's with his dad and his mom is going to give him milk of mag..UGH!!!!

Try Karo syrup!! it works wonders and he'll be a pooping machine! 1tsp for every 2oz, my LO would push so hard she's cry and puke all over the place. I'm telling ya, Karo syrup is a God send! I'd you decided to get it, it's usually in the baked goods section, get the light not the dark.

Its totally normal for babies to go poop every 3 or more days bit if it gets to the point he's pushing so hard and he's in pain, use Karo.

@hhmariah, i used it once before but it didnt help.i thought i was suppose to do it every day.i even tried apple juice but it didnt work either.

When my son was constipated I gave him 1oz of apple juice with 2oz of water. I didn't let him drink it all but it cleared him right out

use prune juice. I got the gerber apple prunr juice and did an oz of juice oz of water and it helped A LOT. he was on soy so I just gave it to him every morning and it made it softer.
