don't risk it if you have to question it. still have utilities, baby necessities, food, doesn't seem worth it if your worried about making rent before even moving in

Just sit down and figure out your finances how much you have coming in and how much you would have going out! That's what we did we are looking just got to figure out your budget figure out all your bills cell phone credit cards like all and make sure you have money for groceries and gas! We don't look at anything that is over budget!

If you pay $200 and he pays $400 I think you can swing it. The downside is if anything like car repairs or something..is there anyway you can try to work from home. Like babysit for extra money?

@emily18234, has a point too though. If you're worried before hand it may not be a good idea. I know how it feels to want your own too though.

Stay home...I wouldn't do it. Both you and boyfriend stack your money. You have to sacrifice and it's going to be living with folks who may get on your nerves but trust me. I'm 36 and been on my own since 17. It was hard with no kid. I don't regret it BUT I would've stacked my money first. Focus on graduating and that baby. A place to stay will come.

I'm going to be honest..I wasn't trying to here this when I was your age so I get it. At least wait until baby comes. Babies are expensive. That may change your mind.

Make a budget. But keep in mind you have to take into account baby expenses, grocery, gas, hygiene, emergency funds, etc.

My moms house isn't suitable for a child let alone us. She doesn't clean, the house need major repairs, the ceiling in our room is about to fall, she smokes, and he dog is huge and jumps on everyone, she might trample the baby, I can't stay here .. @gcpaschal

And I don't trust her with my baby... She abused me when I was younger and let me get sexually abused .

Well then there's no question that you should leave. Who will watch the baby?

I'd say it's probably over your budget once baby arrives.

So SO brings home like $700 a check right? If he's making 11.50 at 40 hours a week after taxes. Where does your money come from? Is it assistance of some sort or a part time job? because You'd be best to stay home if it's from a job, don't put your name on the lease let your boyfriend do that on his own and go get food stamps since you can claim you're an unemployed homeless women with a baby. WIC and stamps will basically take care of your food for everybody for the month. You can sell the puppy and find a cheaper place. And there you have it.
