These last few days have definitely been some of the scariest I've ever gone through. I was contracting every minute at roughly 30 weeks pregnant and they said I was 80% effaced and lucky I hadn't dilated at all. I've been confined to a hospital bed so my baby could get enough stuff to protect him in case he decides to come out. Magnesium sulfate is a horrible thing ladies. It makes you feel like shit but it relaxes your cervix and protects the babies brain as a bonus. I might be getting released Wednesday afternoon as long as my water doesn't break and I don't start contracting anymore. I don't want to be one of those girls but trust me and take the best care of yourself and your baby during your oregnancy so you don't risk preterm labor. Speaking to the nicu specialists about the potentials was awful and I broke down so many times..I've been so lucky up until now and I hope it continues. Hold on 6 more weeks baby boy.
