@ccole2653, I've dealt with detox off of methadone which is similar and lots of hydration, regardless of attitude or discouraged acts (from him) be 100% supportive. make sure he eats, after a week or so of detox make him get out and about in the sun because the first few days/week is the worse. I myself detoxed off of pain pills about 5 years ago after being on them for over a year and it was very hard. and it's easy to get discouraged and feel like you NEED another one. and when people around you are rude or talk down to you its easy to jump back in it. good luck mama.. lots of love and support will help immensely and if he has a slip and it's a little one be supportive and help him start over. I slipped 2 times and I told myself if I do it again it's because I want too. and those slips were within the first week of getting clean. been sober since though and life is amazing! !

After detox it can be but I would keep him hydrated n get him to eat don't just let him sleep if you can help it

Oh ok yeah I dealt with the same exact scenario he got on the Vivatrol n felt a lot better, I just made sure it was done cooked for him n pushed him to work out you know distraction cause if he use on the shot his body will shut down

He is detoxing from suboxone .. He was addicted to opiates last year . He wants to be completed drug free before our daughter is born @beautymom7

Suboxin isn't going to help him, it's a lower dose of heroin almost the Vivatrol shot is the best way to help.. Ppl will still use on the suboxin .. Vivatrol shuts all drug intake out
