MOM'S WITH ESTIMATED BIG BABIES: what did your Dr's say to you as potential issues when birthing…

do not use FORCEPS as they can't see when going in to much at stake.. they told my mom w/my brother that they'd have to break his clavicle, I told them no if he's to big cut her open..they ended up taking him 2wks early via c-section he was already 10lbs. but your body knows what it's doing I had a friend deliver 9.5lb baby girl drug free vaginally

my Dr is all for me having this baby vaginally like I requested.. he's estimated at being 9 or 10lb.. my hips are already dislocating in the cuffs and I can feel them moving painfully when I walk so I don't doubt he's already big.. I just don't want an emergency c section if I can help it ya know? @tattoookimama

I delivered a 8 pound 7.9 oz baby naturally with no issues, just a little hemorrhaging after.

yeah I feel yeah on that one.. I'm hoping my son doesn't get big like they are projecting but if he can't come out that way and only safe way is being airlifted I'm for it.. I just prefer vaginallu

@emma1629 both my fiancés siblings were considered big babies by technicality bc they were bigger than 8lb and 15oz.. our first was 6lb 10oz

1 day before I had to have an emergency c-section, my daughter weighed in at 9lb 2oz in her ultrasound. the c-section was an absolute surprise due to preclampsia. however doctor was talking to me that day about taking her at week 38 or inducing labor. anyways, she was born the next day at 9lb 2oz.... I'm glad it happened how it did because my birth canal would have not allowed her to pass. trust your doctor to make the right call. they were right on the money

I'm going through this now 😔. My son is estimated almost 10 pds. Meaning he could actually be 9. My ob isn't forcing anything on me but she doesn't want me to go over my due date which is this Saturday. If my cervix is showing favor meaning it's dilating and thinning on its own then she will let me continue til I can birth him. But if it's not then it's an automatic c section, which I'm terrified of. This is my 4th and Ive had all my babies vaginally. A CSection is major surgery and I'm on the plus side so I'm scared recovery will be even harder for me. She said the side affects of birthing a big baby is they can get stuck. They can have shoulder dystocia, where they would have to break his collar bone to get him out. He could have nerve damage in his arm from that. 😢😢😢😢. I'm going to do what's best for my baby but I'm just terrified. Induction isn't even an option for me at this point.

at 30 wks my baby was weighing 4.1 lbs. average is 2.91-3.5. I have another ultrasound on the 17th. I'm scheduling csection with him. I had one with my daughter bc I was "progressing'
