TMI question. ....how do I know if I lost part or all of my mucus plug? Just had a glob of it…

The mucus plus usually comes out little by little . I had mine coming out for a week each time a little bit .

@mrsmord, when should I worry? I'm watching for more, I have no pain or blood atm .....

Once you have a bloody show usually and get contractions . It's a good sign but it doesn't necessarily mean anything . It took me about a week or so to go into labor after the mucus plug started to go

What color was it? I had mucus coming out few weeks ago went to the ER and they told me it was regular pregnancy mucus

your mucus plug can grow back so as long as there is no blood don't worry

@mrsmord, I'm just always concerned @yari93 it was really really think jelly like clearish with bits of white....just not sure if I should worry that it was more than I've seen before.....having the pains I've been told are round ligaments but not contractions I don't think......I splurged on a mountain dew today and now this so I'm just a bit on edge

Mine was a greenish yellow and they told me it was normal if you think it's something to worry about them definitely go get checked just to be safe. Everyone kept telling me it was nothing but i just went with my motherly instinct. You can never go wrong with caring and making sure everything is okay. But I'm pretty sure you are okay. Mucus doesn't always mean your going into labor we let off mucus all the time it a part of pregnancy.

@yari93, thank you, I'm going to keep an eye out for a while and just see how it goes by morning. I'll call my doctor if I get too concerned
