so I need advice ladies. with my first baby I attempted to breast feed. I did it for maybe 8 weeks before I finally gave up. I constantly had him on me or was pumping and just wasn't getting enough. now I'm pregnant with my second and don't plan on breast feeding because of the struggle I had the first time. but I'm terrified that if I don't I won't be as close to my second as I am my first without that bond. is that crazy? should I try. for the sake of the bond. don't throw me any of the breast is the best crap please.

Don't listen to anyone that tries to tell you that you can't bond with your child unless baby is latched on your breast. That is a load of crap! My son was never able to latch. It actually stressed him out anytime he was skin to skin. So I had to pump instead. My son and I have the strongest bond. It's a healthy bond, in that I'm not his human pacifier. Do what's best for you and your family. Fed is best.

give it a try with my first I breast fed her with a nipple shield the whole time, and with this baby she actually latches on to only 1 boob lol but my milk supple actually got 10x better then with my first

I had no intentions of breast feeding, my baby wasn't taking the bottle.... We did some skin to skin and she went for it so I removed my nipple ring and now I'm breast feeding.!
Maybe just try and see how it goes.? Every pregnancy and baby is different.! Best wishes 💕

I feel as if the bond is more skin to skin because they say daddies should hold the baby without a shirt on. I could just bottle feed without a shirt on to. right? haha

I breastfed my first and it didn't go as planned. I'm going to breastfeed my son for about as long as I did with my daughter.

I breastfed my daughter. it didn't go well. similar to yourself 8 weeks or so. she never seemed to get full and I was exhausted to the point where it scared myself. so with my son I didn't even consider it as I also has an 18 month running the house. there is no difference between the bonds with my two children. with baby 3 on the way I am planning on trying to nurse but I'm not putting every hope and dream in it. either it will happen or it won't. this time I have plenty of help from my husband to my other children 12 and 14 along with extended family. I didn't have that before. do what is right for you. don't let other people get you down. this is your life and your child. long as she is healthy and growing.

My oldest was born at 32 weeks and I never got my supply in. I pumped and pumped and never got more than drops out. My second was an emergency c-section and I got a severe infection and was on all kids of meds that weren't good for the baby, so I only got to try to breast feed him for a few days. I would love for it to work out with my daughter when she is born, but if it doesn't, you still bond with your child. Neither of my boys got much in the way of momma milk, but they sure got momma love and that's the important thing!

doesn't hurt to try.. may even work out better than expected this time if you're determined to make it last there's lots of available ke resources and people who can help. if not there's no missing bond with a bottle fed formula baby (:

try it and if it doesn't work I don't think your bond with your baby will be much different than with your first
