Okay, SO for the married people out there..or damn near married. Lol. I have my 30 week appointment on the 28th. My husband has been to literally every appointment since I've gotten pregnant. Well, I have a new recent bodily development (we will call it the "h" word). I told my husband he doesn't have to be at this appointment because I want to discuss this matter alone with my doctor and get medicine for it. My husband still insists on being there. 😐

@mrs.steele, Thanks :) He will likely go with me but yes, I'd like him to step out for that part. He's my best friend but even best friends need their dignity.

@babynessa Hm my husband and I don't base our marriage solely on whether we can stand saying or doing certain things with each other. We share quite a bit from what's going on in our minds to what's going on with our bodies. However, he knows if I'm dealing with something for the very first time that I may be embarrassed about (and he may or may not be squeamish with because he doesn't like medical stuff like I do) then he has enough respect for me to step out. My husband has been to my every one of my baby's doctor's appointments as well. This isn't about our baby. It's about my body.

My husband has been to every doctors appointment. I'd just let him stay in the room. How me and my husband view it as, if I can't say it in front of him then why are we married. But that's just us. If you don't want him to be in the room. I'd call ahead and tell the nurse or your doctor.

your doctor can ask him to step out for a minute, and just tell him its prodocall to make sure you and your baby is safe. idk how you would tell your doctor maybe call ahead and have the front desk lady write your doc a note for when you go in! that's all I can think of :)

@brittanycheri, Yes, they are very common and I'm sorry it makes your pregnancy a bit more difficult. One time my doctor was doing a swab for a physical in the early stages of my pregnancy for STD testing, the doc mumbled something about chlamydia and my husband turned ghost white because he thought the doc said I had it. We had to have him clarify that's what the swab was for. I think my husband and I just dated quite a few people before finally getting together, so there was that fear that we could have given the other something. We haven't but I don't deem it terrible if something like that does happen. @missa7 I understand. My husband has checked out quite a few things on my body for me as well. We arenr afrais of each others body at all and I used to work in an nursing home before so im not afraid of much. But when it comes to that kinda stuff ..I mean, he thought he would puke if he had to cut baby's umbilical cord. he says he has to build himself up to do it. I haven't told him about the hemorrhoids. I don't think he'd judge we or anything but he's so squeamish about certain things so I figured he doesn't have to go. @krstokes2016 I think I will just ask him to step out. Don't want him thinking so be all weird.

@melina.a.613, honestly it isn't that bad . My husband has seen me cut open durning C section , saw me poop on the table with the birth of both our daughters and then when I got H from the birth , my husband tried saving us a doctors visit by looking up my butt to see if he could see any . Your married you shouldn't be embarrassed.

I have herpes, not on my lady parts but close.. Got it from my husband (oh yay) more people have it than you'd think.. I am surprised to found out two of my other friends have it too.. It's also something pretty serious during pregnancy since it can be pasted to the baby if a break out is active during labor, then you HAVE to have a c section 😫. Don't be embarrassed, hemorrhoids happens to many pregnant women! Maybe Ask him to step out while you talk to the doc? Like make it the last part of your appointment so he can be there for baby part of it. @melina.a.613

@twins1987, That's what I'm saying. I'm gonna have a doc looking at my booty and don't know what that'll do to him haha. Plus, I've never had them till now so it's weird 😖

My husband is the guy who will faint upon seeing blood. I have no idea how he will deal with a doctor looking at my butt for hemorrhoids lmfao. Sorry. it's just a new development caused by pregnancy. I'm not squeamish at all but....yuck.

He's your husband, you should feel comfortable enough to tell him anything. And whether something is going on with you or baby he should be there.

God no, not herpes! @brittanycheri That would affect my husband too and I can't keep that from him. Hemorrhoids. and it's very embarrassing. Husband and I share eveything and are not shy at all lol but it's butt stuff. That's. ...weird. @twins1987 I feel like I should have a little dignity to myself. @mamamj @shortizzie He won't step outside haha. He will just make fun of me and say "babe stop being weird". Which is hilarious because he's the same guy who's afraid of blood (He's going to have to toughen up for baby's birth).

Honey, you should be super comfortable talking about anything in front of your husband. You married him! This is not going to be the first, nor the most embarrassing moment in y'all's life together. Let him go!

Lmao I'm so sorry but this tickled my tummy. I'm married and my husband made it comfortable for me to talk to him about whatever. We were in the hospital last week and I asked for some underwear. The nurse said the underwear they have are uncomfortable unless you have a bad. My husband blurts out "she has a pad" lmao. It is what it is.

There are a couple H conditions you could be talking about herpes? Hemorrhoids? Either way feel blessed he wants to be there. My husband has been to 3 and he had hated all but the last one.. He doesn't want to go to any other unless there is an ultrasound which I don't know if there would be... So he doesn't go anymore 😔
